Commission Process

Step 1: The first step in having a commissioned piece made is reaching out with your interest. Include a photograph or inspiration images.

Step 2: Discuss the size of the painting. Pet portraits can be as small as 4" by 4" and larger landscapes have been as large as 36" by 48". The size can increase from there! The cost of the painting depends on the size of the painting and is usually based on square inches. (A 20" by 20" painting is in the ballpark of $1,200).

Step 3: Hone in on style. Is there a color palette you prefer from the Good Harbor Studio gallery? Is there an example from the gallery you really love? Do you want more detail or more simplicity?

Step 4: Good Harbor Studio will send sketches and progress along the way for you to approve.

Step 5: Wait for your painting to arrive! Small paintings can be easy to mail but larger ones may involve some different logistics.
